Aerial, sculptural, and architectural arrangements are central to our floral practice. We work with line, movement, scale, and the relationship between flowers and their surroundings.
The Japanese art of ikebana is one influence, particularly its consideration of negative space and form. Each commission is developed around the client's preferences rather than a prescribed floral style.

Iris Gloria
Iris Gloria founded Axial Theory following her own experience planning a wedding. Her background in supply chain, procurement, and program management informs the way she approaches research, vendor coordination, and the details involved in planning an event.
Her interest in flowers developed separately, through years of arranging flowers for her dining table and kitchen. Learning about individual flowers and arrangement traditions, including ikebana, led her to experiment with different forms and compositions.
